Terms of Service

Protecy is an insurance information service for Kenya. It answers questions about insurance using real policy documents from licensed insurers, cites the clauses it relies on, and can take your details so a broker can contact you. By using Protecy you agree to these terms.

• Not advice. Answers are information, not financial, legal, or insurance advice, and are not a recommendation of any insurer or product.
• Not a broker — yet. Protecy is operating pre-licence. We do not sell, arrange, quote, or bind insurance, handle premiums, or process claims. Cover exists only when you conclude a contract directly with a licensed insurer or broker.
• Not the policy. The policy document issued by an insurer always prevails over anything Protecy says about it.

Answers are generated by an AI assistant grounded in policy documents. We work hard to keep them accurate and every coverage statement carries a citation you can check — but AI can make mistakes, documents can be superseded, and an answer may not account for your personal circumstances. Verify important details against the cited clause and with the insurer before making decisions.

Web chat requires an account: you sign in with Google and add a phone number. Keep your account to yourself and give us accurate details. We may suspend accounts used to abuse the service, attempt to extract other people’s data, or interfere with its operation.

• Don’t use Protecy for anything unlawful or fraudulent.
• Don’t probe, overload, scrape, or disrupt the service.
• Don’t try to manipulate the AI into ignoring its safeguards or producing content unrelated to insurance.

Protecy’s software, design, and content are ours or our licensors’. Policy documents belong to their insurers and are used to answer your questions. You keep the rights to what you write; you give us permission to process it to run the service.

Protecy is provided “as is”, free of charge, during its pre-launch period. To the maximum extent permitted by Kenyan law, we are not liable for losses arising from reliance on answers, service interruptions, or events beyond our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

We may update the service and these terms — including when Protecy becomes a licensed broker, when material changes will be flagged. The date above shows the latest revision. You can stop using Protecy and ask us to delete your account at any time.
